History of Estrella Animal Hospital
Welcome to our website. We would like to tell you a little about how Estrella Animal
Hospital, Inc. started.
Dr. William Joslin studied both companion animal and equine veterinary medicine.
His love for horses started him on his way to a mobile equine veterinary practice.
After practicing in the field for years, he missed being able to help the dogs and
cats of his clients and started Estrella Animal Hospital in a storefront, across
from where we are now located. He opened his doors for business in March, 1989.
As the area grew he expanded by adding another doctor, then another, then another,
and his staff as well was growing with him. He decided to build across the street,
as he knew the business would only grow larger as houses were being built very quickly.
In August, 1995 his new hospital became a reality. Opening on one of the hottest
days on record in Phoenix, his small staff of 4 doctors, 1 office manager, 1 receptionist,
and three technicians greeted the clients with big smiles and a great hope for the
future.
Today, 11 years later, the staff has grown to 8 doctors, 1 manager, 5 receptionists,
9 technicians and 3 kennel staff. The boarding facility was added on in 1999.
We are a very busy hospital, but still treat our clients as family. Each of the
doctors brings with them a desire to diagnose and treat your pet with the utmost
respect, care and integrity.
Our doctors practice preventative medicine, to help your pet live a long and happy
life.
